The 4th International Society for Nanofabrication (ISNM) Summer school, hosted by the Centre of Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technology (MNMT) of Tianjin University, was successfully accomplished in Tianjin Clun of Scientistes and Engineers.

On September 22, more than 40 PhD students, Master students and young researchers from various universities  gathered in Tianjin to attend the academic summer school which has been well recognized in the field of manufacturing an dmetrology. Professor Fang made the opening speech.

Different Professors, different topic

Professor R. Wertheim from Fraunhofer IWU in Germany

Starting from specific problems, professor Wertheim sorted out the research ideas, summarized the current manufacturing problems that need to be solved, and looked forward to the development trend of the manufacturing industry in the future

Through the study of the courses of summer school, combined with after-class discussions and research, the group members had a deep understanding of the relevant fields, and eventually shared their learning experience and discuss with the summer school classmates. In the end, professor Fang concluded that despite the short duration of the summer school, students' understanding of manufacturing frontier development, communication with professors and scholars, and interaction between students would play a positive role in their future growth and development, which is also the original intention of organizing such a series of summer school.
