Professor Enrico Savio

University of Padua, Italy

Enrico Savio is a Professor of Digital Manufacturing at the University of Padova, Italy, with a research focus on Manufacturing Metrology. Current research interests include on-machine and in-process metrology, metrology of freeform surfaces and complex parts, digital-metrological twins, and economics of measurements in industry. He is a Fellow of CIRP, in which he served as Chairman of the Scientific Technical Committee “Surfaces”; was President of euspen; in 2003, he was awarded the CIRP F.W. Taylor Medal. 

Professor Wei Gao

Tohoku University, Japan

Professor Wei Gao received his PhD degree in Precision Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan in 1994. He is currently the director of the Center for Precision Nanosystems, Tohoku University. His research interests are mainly in precision engineering, including optical sensors, dimensional measurement, micro/nano-metrology and motion control. He acted as a visiting professor of the Center for Precision Metrology, University of North Carolina, Charlotte in 1998. He is a member of the ASPE, JSPE, JSME and CIRP. He serves as an editorial board member for a number international journals, such as an Associate Editor for Precision Engineering, the journal of International Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology. He has published more than 100 journal papers and has applied about 40 patents.

Professor Shuming Yang

Xi'an Jiaotong University, China

Shuming Yang, a full professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University, the winners of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the principle investigator of the national key R & D program, and the leader of the Shaanxi Provincial Key Scientific and Technological Innovation Team etc. He has undertaken more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial major key projects and published more than 170 academic papers, authorized/disclosed more than 80 international and domestic invention patents, and won 7 scientific and technological awards from provincial, ministerial and national industry associations. He has been selected as a fellow of the International Society of Nanomanufacturing (ISNM), a committee member of the Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN), and an executive member of the Chinese Society for Measurement (CSM) etc. He has been invited to deliver keynote/invited talks at international academic conferences for more than 30 times, and served as the editors and guest editors of international journals such as JMS, IJPEM-GT, IJRAT, NMME, MST, PE, IJAMT, Photonics etc.

Professor Satoru Takahashi

The University of Tokyo, Japan

Norihisa Takahashi, a Full Professor in the Department of Precision Engineering at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on advanced optical science for next-generation manufacturing and precision engineering, particularly optical metrology and fabrication technologies based on far-field photonics, evanescent optics, and near-field optics. He has delivered more than 50 invited and keynote lectures at international conferences worldwide and has received over 30 academic awards. He has served on the Board of the Japan Society for Precision Engineering (JSPE) and the Asian Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology (ASPEN), as well as on the Editorial Boards of the International Society for NanoManufacturing (ISNM) and the International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing (IJPEM). He is a Fellow of JSPE, ISNM, and the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), and an active member of several international professional societies, including JSME, JSAP, ASPE, and euspen.
