The Fourth International Forum of Manufacturing Paradigm III
Zhejiang University, China
October 24-26, 2025

Opening ceremony chaired by Professor Yuanliu Chen
The Fourth International Forum of Manufacturing Paradigm III was successfully held in Wenzhou, China, on October 24–26, 2025. The forum was organized by the International Society of Nanomanufacturing (ISNM) and co-organized by Zhejiang University. The opening ceremony featured remarks by Professor Wei Gao, President of ISNM and Fellow of the Engineering Academy of Japan, and Professor Xiaokang Liu, Chair of the ISNM Young Scientists Committee and President of Chongqing University of Technology. The forum was chaired by Professor Yuanliu Chen from Zhejiang University.
With the theme “Atomic and Close-to-Atomic Scale Manufacturing (ACSM)”, the forum aimed to advance the transition from micro/nano manufacturing toward atomic-scale manufacturing. It served as a high-end international platform for cross-disciplinary exchange, fostering fundamental research, disruptive technological innovation, and industrial vision at the atomic scale. Scholars and industry leaders from China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Ireland, Hungary, Singapore, and Denmark attended the event.
The program included keynote speeches, invited talks, panel discussions, and a ACSM Doctor Forum. Discussions focused on three major themes: atomic-scale processing and metrology, atomic-level assembly and functional devices, and future industries enabled by atomic-scale manufacturing.
Following the formal presentations, more than 50 participants continued with a roundtable session moderated by Professor Fengzhou Fang, Fellow of Academia Europaea. Researchers exchanged insights, addressed critical scientific challenges, and shared practical experience.
