The Third International Forum of Manufacturing Paradigm III (FMP3-2025) was successfully held in Chongqing, China on May 16-18, 2025. The conference was sponsored by the  International Society of Nanomanufacturing (ISNM), organized by the Chongqing University of Technology (CQUT). Professor Wei Gao, the President of ISNM and Fellow of the Engineering Academy of Japan, and Professor Fengzhou Fang, the Founding President of ISNM and delivered the opening speeches. The forum was chaired by Professor Xiaokang Liu, the president of CQUT.
The aim of the forum was to advance the frontier of Atomic and Close-to-Atomic Scale Manufacturing by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and fostering innovation at the atomic level. This forum serves as a global platform to disseminate cutting-edge research, address disruptive technological challenges, and support early-career researchers. It seeks to drive the transition from classical, macroscopic manufacturing toward a new era governed by quantum effects and atomic-scale interactions—facilitating breakthroughs in fundamental mechanisms, process physics, instrumentation, and metrological verification.

The two-day forum features keynote speeches, invited talks in sub-forums, thematic discussions, and technical visits. Centered around three main themes—“Ultra-Precision Manufacturing and Measurement”, “Micro/Nano Manufacturing and Metrology” and “Manufacturing, Measurement, Characterization and Applications at Atomic and Close-to-atomic Scales”—the forum includes two keynote speeches and twenty invited talks.
More than 100 leading experts and scholars from renowned universities, research institutes and industries in China, Ireland, Japan and the United Kingdom attended the forum.
